How’s everybody doing this week? It’s been a bit of a slow week, reading-wise. I’m currently working through Island of the Blue Dolphins, by Scott O’Dell, and Three to Get Deadly, by Janet Evanovich. The former came in the list provided in the back of Alice Ozma’s The Reading Promise, and is one of those things that I’ve always meant to read, but have just never gotten around to. The latter of course is the next installment of the Stephanie Plum series, which my mother has always insisted I’d like. She was right. It’s campy but fun.
And additional books I’ve brought home from the library, that I’m hoping to start this week:
Poppy Done to Death, Charlaine Harris (the last Aurora Teagarden book, which will mean I’m caught up on all of her series)
Murder on the Orient Express, Agatha Christie
Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days!, Stephen Manes (another Reading Promise suggestion)
Strangers on a Train, Patricia Highsmith
and Crossed, Ally Condie, the sequel to 2009’s Matched.
